Last month I posted on our adoption blog about how Kimberly and I keep seeing 11:11 all the time. (http://www.tmphillips.com/adoption/hope/11-11/) After countless weeks of these occurrences, which we'd never had before, at least to a degree like this, we began to think that maybe it was indicating something was going to happen on Novermber 11th that had to do with the adoption.

Ever since we first posted about this, a friend of ours has been rightly encouraging us to look to the 11:11 scriptures to help figure out what God is saying by showing us 11-11 all the time. I have looked up 11:11 scriptures a couple times, but not with much focus and have been intending to do so more after November 11th went by, but I still hadn't gotten to it... Well it's November 20th, and nothing noticeable happened on November 11th. Nevertheless, Kimberly and I both continue to see 11+11 all time, and in different ways... I actually hadn't had "an incident" in a few days, up to maybe a week, so I thought maybe it had all blown over.. Then yesterday at work, without even knowing why, and in the middle of helping and speaking to somebody on the phone, I turned and picked up my cell phone and looked at it and it was 11:11am.

While driving home today an interesting message came on my ipod. I have a ton of stuff on my ipod and just leave it on shuffle, so I just listen to whatever comes on (kind of indicative of the way I live my life, unfortunately). This message quickly got my attention as a man I've never heard of before named Robin McMillan got introduced by Steve Thompson, and he began to talk about this very subject (11+11). In the middle of listening to it while getting off the freeway, I had a tire partially blow out on my car. I haven't had the money to buy new tires, and it has really been bugging me for months, knowing that I need tires and that they could blow at any point, and reminding me of my financial lack, and so listening to this message and having it go into my spirit while my tire gave out was pretty timely for me. You'll know what I mean if you listen to it and hear his interpretation.

If you're interested, the message is part three of a prophetic training workshop, and you can listen to the podcast using the link below. Robin's part starts at 5 minutes and 45 seconds into the recording, and lasts about 25 minutes:

(Kimberly actually has been getting some of the other numbers he mentions too)

Edit: I went ahead and transcribed the audio, and you can read it here:

I've been tolerating tape deck transmitters with all their clickity clacks for years! I've tried fm transmitters but can't stand the hiss... One of these days I will buy a new car stereo that at least has an aux input.. until then, I will wish I had this guys modded transmitter...

I want one..

BUT, even if I had the $1500 I've read that they ask for these, the only way to actually buy one is to visit the manufacturer in Switzerland.. I guess I don't want one that bad. :-)

i just found a free perl script to replace my javascripted random quote generator. I used the javascript code for years, but have found this perl script to be a lot faster and easier to maintain...

my quote list is in the sidebar block labeled 'words', or you can see quotes with a bigger font size here: http://www.tmphillips.com/words/words.php

thanks to Mr. Jason Babcock for emailing me this link. It's a collaboration to discover new music and I've already found some good stuff there... You create radio stations based on songs or artists you search for. They then stream songs from your query and mix it up to include other artist/songs that are similar to your query.

I am listening to a station based on the artist 'Medeski Martin & Wood' right now, and my feet are busy tapping under my desk.

Give Away of the Day

Here is another site I learned about recently (thanks to Nate over at Infopro's Joint) where we can (legally) get commercial software for free. I've been watching for about a week now and there hasn't been anything I've wanted to try, but maybe tomorrow will be the day!

Woot!

My cousin Vince told me about this site.. They sell one item every day at a really good price for a 24 hour period until sold out. I haven't actually bought anything from them yet. Today was the first day I would have bought something (a 2gig thumbdrive for $18), but it was sold out before I got there. I've been checking the offerings since Christmas though, and there have been some good deals. And they are really funny too with their writeups..

Oh and be sure to check on Tuesdays, as whatever they are selling is two for one...
